What is agentic process redesign? +
It is redesigning a business process around what AI agents can do, before anything is built. We map how the process runs today, then decide step by step what to remove, what an agent should do and where a person must stay in the loop. The output is the redesigned process with a business case for each changed step and a scoped Proof of Value.
What does agentic process redesign include? +
One process, taken from interviews to a scoped Proof of Value. We interview operators, team leads and process owners about how the work really moves. We list every system a step touches, the data it holds and whether an agent can reach it, and we record where work changes hands and how long it sits there. Then each step gets a verdict. Re-keying, copying and chasing that exist only because systems do not talk to each other are removed. Agent steps get their tools, data and checks named before the build. Approvals and exceptions stay with a person, who receives the case already prepared by the agent. You also get an outline of the agent architecture, a business case for each changed step and the one step to test first on your data.
How is it different from automating the process we already have? +
Automating the current process keeps its steps, including the ones that exist only to move data between systems or wait for someone's inbox. A redesign questions each step first. Some disappear because an agent can read the source directly, some become agent steps, and the judgment calls stay with people, now with the context prepared for them.
How do you map the process as it runs today? +
We interview the people who do the work, not only the people who own the process, and trace the work through the systems it touches: inboxes, spreadsheets, the ERP or CRM, shared drives. For every step we note who does it, in which system, what it hands to the next step and where work waits. The written procedure is a starting point; what happens in practice is what we map.
Which steps stay with a person? +
Steps where an error is costly, where the decision needs accountability, or where the rules leave room for judgment. Approvals, exceptions and anything that carries legal or clinical weight usually stay with a person. The agent prepares the case, the person decides, and the checkpoint is written into the redesigned process so it cannot be skipped later.
What does the business case per step include? +
For each changed step: the work it removes or speeds up today, the expected cost per task with an agent, the cost of an error and the metric that shows whether it worked. The steps are then ranked, and the strongest one becomes the Proof of Value scope, tested on your data before anyone commits to a full build.
Do we have to build the redesigned process with Vstorm? +
No. The process map, the redesign and the business case are yours, and your team or another supplier can build from them. If you continue with us, the engineers who mapped the process also build the agents, so nothing is lost in a hand-off between an advisory team and a delivery team.
