SWE Langchain

SWE Langchain is not the name of a product, module, or official distribution. The term is used loosely for software-engineering (SWE) agents built on the LangChain and LangGraph frameworks, including LangChain's own open-source coding agent, Open SWE. Such agents combine LangChain's orchestration capabilities with software engineering workflows so that a language model can analyze, generate, debug, and refactor code across multiple programming languages. Built this way, an agent can read a codebase, comment on code, generate documentation, and carry out programming tasks described in natural language. Its reach depends on the tools it is wired to — file-system and shell tools, version control, test runners — which are ordinary LangChain integrations rather than parts of a dedicated software-engineering framework. Because the orchestration layer is general-purpose, what such an agent can do is determined by the tools it is given and by the underlying model, not by any software-engineering-specific version of LangChain.
