LangChain certification
LangChain certification is an official assessment program that validates a developer’s ability to design, build, and deploy large-language-model (LLM) applications with the LangChain framework. Preparation usually runs through LangChain Academy courses, which include hands-on labs, but those courses are separate from the certification itself. The exam, called LangChain Certified Agent Engineer, is delivered online under proctoring and consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, with 28 correct answers required to pass; it is semi-open-book, so candidates may consult LangChain-owned resources such as the documentation, LangSmith, and LangChain Academy. Questions are spread across four domains weighted equally at 25% each: building agents, testing agents, deploying agents, and monitoring agents. Recertification is required every two years to reflect fast-evolving APIs. Companies use LangChain certification to vet talent for AI roles, while holders gain credibility, community perks, and early access to beta features—turning practical know-how into a recognized professional credential.
